ABOUT ME
I am currently a student at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). I will graduate my Industrial Design degree from QUT in 2020. My interests are in UX/UI and Systems Design. I value design thinking, creativity and taking the perspectives of users.
At university I majored in Industrial Design, learning about Design Thinking, Design for Manufacture, Systems Design, and Speculative Design amongst others. My minor was in graphic design where I created a marketing campaign, magazine spreads and a unique typeface.
I have also participated in QUT’s Vocational Research Experience Scheme (VRES), where I worked alongside researchers and got a glimpse into the world of academic research. This helped to prepare me for my honours year thesis project.
Alongside my studies, I completed two internships and was employed at Luxxbox Design Studio. It was here I learnt how to work in a professional environment, as well as learnt skills in designing and manufacturing lighting.
When I graduate, I hope to use the skills I have acquired throughout my time at university to improve the lives of people. I aim to work as a researcher and designer that considers the needs of people and how they interact with products and systems, looking to improve them.
